Ah just bought a 955 and am3+ board thinking BD will destroy intel, but I was completely wrong on so many levels!!! Oh well, gotta save some money to go back to intel now... Ps. I wasn't surprised but I was really disappointed

Jagged_steel dont forget to mentioned that a HD 6970 was used for those 3 tests you keep posting, i.e the FPS is mostly down to the GPU being used here.

HAHAAHAHAHHAHAHHAAHAAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! You and your fanboyism are so sad but there is a complete difference between unreasonable brand loyalty and facts.

Whatever, let him buy whatever he wants - On GPU Bound Games all current CPU's are close - On everything else AMD loses. And even on GPU bound games, it's hotter, hungry for power and more expensive.

I hope you don't play any CPU limited games. Even at 1080p.

If you only game, why even upgrade, your Phenom 2 is better. Once again, your seeing different FPS's from different results in different periods of games with different frames at different times. In other words, your PH2 might even do better in alot of instances in that Battlefield 3 run.

The only reason to upgrade, is more cores. Problem solved, pick up a P2 955 for ~100$ used, save a massive amount of power consumption and heat, and better gaming performance via a much better IPC.

Or hell try and unlock your current CPU.

Unless I'm too Young, when did amd ever beat intel current gen v current gen?

I wasn't expecting amazing results but for it to at least stand up to Sandy bridge,

I think it will be a sad day at the Amd sales desk, but I think on the rebound intel will see an increase in sales.

Where is the option

"How does this affect my life?"

Not the first piece of PC hardware that did not live up to expectations, some will love it some will hate it. Take a nap in two months another piece will show up to critique, slam, praise etc.

With all the slamming posts on the bulldozers the intel fanboys do not seem to play well with others i.e. gloating.

This is all fine, but don't try to pull a fast one on the consumers, the claims do not match reality.

If you didn't see this coming you don't pay attention to the actual company. They were looking for a CEO from January until August.

The company is run like crap.
