i forgot to mention cable management is key to keep your cast temps low dont forget it you will need airflow

I'm a little confused with the voltages now.

Load-Line Calibration is set to "Auto"
and CPU Voltage is set to "Offset Mode" with a "+" sign.
Also, the CPU Offset Voltage is set to "Auto"

Should I disable LLC and keep the CPU Voltage and Offset the way they are? or should I change the value of "Auto" to an increment of 0.06 or something?

Ok~ before you do anything. What's your goal with this overclock? Where do you want to be? Since it seems we're aimlessly plodding along here.

This is indeed step 1 !! Determine your goal and work from there.

I would recommend to use a manual vcore for testing your stability. After you find your stable vcore @ a certain overclock you can play around with offset. Basically offset will tone down your vcore if your rig is in idle and bump the vcore up when the CPU needs it. For the sake of power-saving.

Right now I'm aiming at 4.5Ghz. I've gotten all the settings so far except for the voltage. I keep reading that LLC and Offset together could be bad, so I don't know what settings to use. I'm sorry if I'm asking for too many specifics, but this is my first time overclocking and I really don't want to break anything.

I want to set the a manual voltage, but I have no idea where to start for 4.5Ghz. Also, I don't understand how the Offset works (I don't know what base # the +/- 0.0X adds or subtracts from).

4.5? Fine~ easy. Reset your settings to default. Leave voltage on auto. Everything, completely default. Ok? Restart the system once your BIOS are back to where they were.

Then change your multiplier to 45. Then come back. Make sure you have CPU-Z, Prime95 and Coretemp (or Realtemp) installed. Literally, that's all you're going to do. Change the multi, and then log into Windows.

You're overclocking one of the easiest processors in the world to OC. It's actually a little ridiculous.

If I was you I would set the multiplier to 45 and set a manual vcore of 1.35. Then test if your system is stable, running prime95 blend for 30 minutes and watch the temps. If it passed the 30 mins then lower the vcore a little. Maybe to 1.34. Test again and see if it still passes the 30 min prime95. Till the point where you get BSOD or any type of lockup. Then go back to the vcore where you passed the 30 min prime95 and run it for as much hours you would like to test the real stability. But thats my point of view. I don't like the possibility of to much volts which the Asus mobo's like to do from time to time. Mine went to 1.4v @ 4.5 with vcore at auto and I'm stable at 1.29v for months.

Alright, left all the settings on default except for multi and now it's booting @ 4.5Ghz.

Multi: 45
VID: 1.3761
Max temp: 68c

only problem seems to be that it's stuck at 4.5Ghz, even though its supposed to be the turbo and speedstep isnt kicking in.

EDIT: BSOD after 5 minutes of Prime 95

Ok whats the vcore under load (in CPU-Z)? I think you picked the VID from Core Temp or not?

Give it some time to let your rig kick in the speedstep. Sometimes it takes a while regarding the amount of processes that needs to start-up.

The Core Voltage in CPU-Z switches off from 1.288 and 1.296 while Prime95 is running. I just changed the VRM to 350 and it seems to last an extra 5 minutes, but I just got another BSOD...
