Best RAM price/performance wise (not too cheap)

So my RAM decided to die :'( I guess that's what you get from overclocking cheap RAM modules.

So I need a replacement, I was thinking of going with the Corsair Dominator 6GB (3x2) kit. Not too cheap, and not too ridiclously expensive. Are there any better choices? Except from the Ripjaws.

How are Vengeance vs Dominator? Just browsed down a bit and see a thread regarding Dominator and Vengeance. The arguement there was Vengeance being cheaper and less voltage. However, there's a minor difference in price where I'm buying from so it's not going to make or break a deal.

Dominators are generally considered the 'Premium' model in the Corsair RAM range if I'm not mistaken. Their price point certainly suggests this too. Below the Dominators you have the Vengeance and XMS3 models, above you have the expensive Dominator GT and GTX models, which are considered very high end for ultimate speeds and overclock-ability.

I owned 6GB 2000mhz Dominator GT in my x58 rig last year, but I decided to sell them on as I thought they were wasted on me, I didn't bother to overclock them because the difference in performance is really negligible, The timings were easily tightened though, they are very impressive pieces of kit if you can justify the cost.

Sounds good, thanks.

Don't mind the Norwegian. The Vengeance kit is $25 less, which is a bargain in my opinion.

from what I hear recently some new samsung 20nm ddr3 4GB RAM clocked at 1333MHz can easily go beyond 2000MHz. many stable at 2133MHz.
