only cost the same as u can get a 2600k on sale for, and its slower then a phenom II no thanks!
It's sold out? Boy can't wait for the angry reviews on newegg from people. Either that or they never had a clue about CPUs and bought it anyway.

If I transcoded movies and had free electricity then I would be on the BD. But I don't so I'm not really in any rush to upgrade to anything.

AMD lacks execution. But the idea of the modular design... The way I see it is that AMD could just see where its weak in and pry off that part of the CPU and replace it with the new and improved version and not worry about spending ridiculous amounts of money on upgrading the whole CPU.

This still fails as a product for now. I hope AMD gets the funds to continue with this plan.

But im going Intel.

I really was hoping AMD could pull this off. But the fail that has emerged for the PRESENT has dissapointed me.

Note: helped two friends today buy new 2500K rigs. Bye AMD

I just hope there are better AM3+'s on the horizon.. Not one with a video card in it either unless they can fit a 6990 in there.

Which changes, exactly? What part of Bulldozer does anything to lay a foundation for something better? I'm not familiar with Bulldozer's architecture, so maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like wishful thinking. Has there ever been a new CPU platform released that didn't launch with parts that outperformed all its predecessors?

Nah, that wouldn't piss anyone off who already bought one of the lemons. :/
