proof that multi GPUs dont add up VRAM?

it's common knowledge, so basic that is not even mentioned here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATI_CrossFire lol, someone should add it to wikipedia

here they do mention it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalable_Link_Interface

You would see a huge performance increase with an i5 2500K on your video card setup. I was on a Phenom II X4 940 BE @ 3.8GHz w/ my GTX 470, and after switching to the the 2500K, I got a 10-12fps increase in practically every game I play. Phenom II architecture bottlenecks cards at any settings. And we've seen how Bulldozer performs, so going from Phenom II to Bulldozer would just be a sidegrade.

dont get the FX cpu , grab a 2600k and have some fun with those cards already .. i cant believe you have 3x6970's and what cpu ur using to run them @ 40% each LOL thats pretty funny .. Im dieng for tri fire 6970's but i guess its only the noobs with too much $$ that get all these things , and end up buying a phenom II to bottleneck all 3 cards ... makes baby jesus cry , it really does .

Lol at the bolded statement. Lemme explain.

I built pcs back in 1998-2002, and in that time I only built AMD.Why? Because if you built and intel you were either dell or retarded.

After 2002 I moved to an area that only had 56k internet, so I slowly watched my PC age and die over the years, while I was disconected from all internet.

Then comes 2010, and Im ready to build a new system now that I have internet.I dont even consider intel, because being a pc builder from the old days, who would? So I build my machine and start frequenting here and guess what I find out? AMD has been lagging for years. Then I learn of bulldozer and think" Surely AMD isnt gonna f#$% this up" and yet they did.
I took my processor from my 2010 pc and stuck it in my 2011 pc waiting for BD, and built a system around that. The result is what you see. A system that needs a much more powerful processor(and I could use intels extra instruction sets in pcsx2)
