I know i can get the temps lower, i have 2 really crappy fans on the rad right now ( put the stock h100's on my CPU rad ) and the mounting is not in the best location ( i could hook it to my side panel, but 1. would have to unscrew it each time to take the panel off, and 2, would block my pretty water loop. IMO i would have rather done an h80, because most of the info i read, there is not much difference between a properly installed h80 and h100 on a CPU (+/- 3-5°)
and with a case like mine, i don't have much play room, i hate crowded cases, and wires are ugly )

the zip ties are on there as tight as i feel comfortable with

and uber noob question, i'm guessing TIM is the thermal paste?

I was also reading aobut the 560 mod where you pop off the GPU cover plate and trim it down, but i was thinking of removing it all together and setting the h100 directly on the actual GPU ( and covering up the transistors as well ) but i'm not sure if i want to risk that mod or not.

anyway, since i have to go by a new Mo-bo to replace my fried one, (only 1 month old too mad.gif ) i'm gonna find a way to re position the rad, and if i get a different mo-bo, it may can allow me some more creative mounting positions.

NOTE: i am running a gtx 560, NOT a 560 Ti

Bummer. For a moment I was going to do the same thing (heatsinks) but my fear was one falling off onto the back of the other card and frying it out. Glad I didn't. Yes, TIM is thermal paste.

Yeah. Live and learn. I'm partying all weekend. But will have every thing set up on Monday

I've had no problems with the heatsinks. I can't say off the top of my head what brand they are, but I figured they could not hurt. If they ever fell off they would bot hurt anything in my system

hey bud, I had to ask, where do you mount the two extra 120mm rads? I mean when you already have a 620 installed and its cooling the CPU (I have a H70). Where do you mount the two more rads? I mean the tube is not very long to move around a lot and you certainly cant mount it out side without having to cut the tubing and voiding the warranty. headscratch.gif

I currently have two intake fans one side fan one rear blowing out on my H70 rad and one top for exhaust. rolleyes.gif

some pics of your setup would help.

I haven't done this yet, and may not, but I have followed it for quite a while. Alot of them mount them in the HDD Enclosure to recieve air being pushed into the case. They simply get creative. I believe the OP uses 4 fans inline with each other to mount his to the front of his case.

Pics are in the first post. The rads are on the front intakes with four fans in front in order to reach. I tried the rads up top as exhaust but temps were dismal. Its important to note that the Antec waterlines are longer then the corsair lines.

Pics weren't loading for me, tongue.gif its working now. But If I was to extend the tubing to mount the rads in a more adequate location say on top of my case, how would I refill it? the pump must have a easy fill port somewhere that I can refill the coolant through? or must I add a reservoir ( or does it have to be two separate reservoirs?) ? any suggestions on which reservoir would be up for the task? redface.gif

If you search around here on OCN there are some who have successfully modded these units. It can and has been done by others here.

Looks like ill be modding my H70 too. My psu is going and ill be replacing it with a much larger one. My H70 is in the bottom intake of the case right behind the gx750w i have now. There is only an inch or two between the two and once the new psu is installed ill not have the room to plug in the cables to the psu, the rad/2x fans will block all the plugins for the psu cables.

Im going to mount the rad into the drive bay above my fan controller, ive alrighty put 2x120mm fans at the front a year or so ago for extra intake. Ill mount my H70 p/p just behind those, those 120mm will help feed the H70 fans air. This really all sucks TBH, i was happy with my setup right now. IF i wanted to send money at this point it would have been for an addional 580gtx.........

Its going to be a good one though. Ill never go above two cards in sli so about $300 on a 1000w at the high end.

sorry bud, but i didn't find anything on ocn or google that answered my questions, frown.gif wouldn't have asked otherwise tongue.gif. I thought since you and some others have some exprience and done some research on them, you would be hopefully be able to answer. I have seen a few h70 mods but not much on the 620. Do you have some links? I am really trying to avoid having to ad a reservoir if I can just refill it somehow since I have some exttra coolatant here with me. redface.gif

sounds good cavemind biggrin.gif but wouldn't placing t inside the case just create more hot air? why dont you extend the h70 pipes and install it as a exhaust on top of the case instead? or is refilling it one of the reasons you aren't doing it?
