I know for a fact that the 295 had damn good drivers for when I used it. It's still a little stronger than the GTX 480 actually, yet is limited to DX10 and below of course. tongue.gif

So it would easily trump the 6850 if you don't care for DX11 right now, however it would be a downgrade from your 280 SLI.

But in all honesty it's a good deal. I say buy it because you can always find a use for something that powerful. Make a legacy computer and put it under water. biggrin.gif

If you don't play any games that require SLi then i dont see why you'd need a GTX 295 or hd 6850 anyways. Doesnt seem like you need to upgrade at all.

It would be the exact speeds of your 280 SLI, and if you OC your 280's to 285 speeds you can contend with a 580.

With probably higher power draw and no DX11 though...
Stick with the 280 SLi. DirectX 11 isn't a big deal, look at screenshot comparisons. At this point I'd just wait seven months or so until the next generation GPUs come out.

In that case, I'd say get the GTX 295 and eventually a next-gen card when you feel the need.
