ok.. somtimes the computer freezes on startup when the xp screen is loading, and somtimes it's booting up and freezes after and 2 hours o so.. (when it does the monitor goes black and the my mouse light shuts goes down like it doesnt have enough power or so)

Voltages-

CPU - 1.48125
CPU PLL - 1.56
FSB Terminal Voltage - 1.38
Dram - 1.9
NB -1.39
SB - 1.05
Clock Over Charging Voltage - Auto
Load Line Calibration - Auto
CPU - GTL Voltage Reference - Auto
NB GTL Voltage Refernce - Auto
CPU & PCIE Spread Spectrum - Disabled

-----
CPU Options--

C1E - Disabled
CPU TM Fucntions - Disabled
Vanderpool Tehcnology - Disabled
Execute Disable Bit - Enabled
Max CPUID Valur Limit - Disabled..

hope u guys can help me stabelized it on 3.6...
(and i thought maybe i can get going on 4Ghz.. )

CPU - 1.48125
CPU PLL - 1.57 or 1.58
FSB Terminal Voltage - 1.40
Dram - 1.9
NB -1.40
SB - 1.05
Load Line Calibration - Enabled

* Is that vcore (1.48125) what you have set in the BIOS or what's showing in CPU-Z?

* At 3.6 that's already a 1200 MHz overclock. Takes a lucky chip to get much further than that.

* Does your BIOS show a place to set "cpu Clock Drive?" It would have settings similar to this: 700mv, 800mv, 900mv, 1000mv.

* Maybe setting the cpu GTL Ref could help out. Let me see what threads there are on this board.

the vcore voltage is what i have set in the bios. the CPUZ shows 1.175V

and the core temp shows 1.285V

"
Clock Over Charging" is showing parameters from 0.7V to 1.0V

and the CPU GTL Ref shows 0.67x 0.65x 0.63x and 0.62x

temp is idle - about 45
load - about 75 (after 20 minutes of two Copies of SP2004 running 21 minutes

I think #1 is the Clock Drive. Sure looks like it. Try .8 on the Clock Over Charging.

CPU GTL Refs try .65 for now. For 65nm chips it should be about .667 so, try .65 for now and you can try .67 later if you need it.

What is CPU-Z showing your vcore as in Windows?

Edit: also your temps are getting warm so that means you're reaching/have reached the limit on the cpu vcore.

Cable management, good fans, push/pull fans on the cooler rad... these are things you should consider at this point. Your load temps are high. 71.4c is the max safe temp for that chip I believe so, careful now.

Try these settings (they work for me on my P5QC (400MHz FSB) w/ DDR3 RAM @ 1600MHz and Q9550)

I have changed some settings to fit your Q6600 and P5E:

Ai Overclock Tuner = MANUAL
CPU Ratio = 9x
FSB = 400MHz
STRAP= 400
DRAM freq = 1600MHz
DRAM Timings = 9-9-9-27 and the rest on AUTO (depends on your RAM,if it's capable or running lower timings, but try these first)

Vcore=1.xxV (what your CPU needs for 3.6GHz )
vPLL= 1.58V
CPU GTL = 0.63x
vFSB = 1.36V
vNB = 1.36V
vRAM = 1.66V (or whatever your RAM requires for 1600MHz)

Load Line Calibration = ENABLED
CPU Spread Spectrum = DISABLED
PCIE Spread Spectrum = DISABLED
CPU & NB Skew = AUTO

Testing methodology:

1. First test these settings with 6x CPU multi with P95 LARGE FFT for at least 6h and stock Vcore as your CPU would be running @ 400x6=2.4GHz..

2. If you pass P95 then reboot to BIOS up your Vcore and set CPU multiplier to 9x..

3. If it doesn't boot keep adding Vcore untill it does..

4. Then when it boots up go in Windows and test your 400MHz FSB x9 =3.6GHz with IBT 20runs w/ max RAM and if you crash then just upp Vcore and test it again..

5. If you pass 6h of P95 LARGE FFT & 20 runs of Intel Burn Test then you're ROCK SOLID..

KEEP YOUR CORE TEMPS UNDER 70C IN ANY STRESS TEST!!

my is supposed to work CL7/1600Mhz @ 1.9

thats what is working now, shuold i try lower the latency?

and somthing happend to me twice already, once when already booted and once while xp logo is showing up with a load bar

arealy long beep that doesnt stop and computer freezing, maybe that will ive you an idea where the problem is.

Have you tried my settings?

And when you get things stable with 9-9-9-27 then try to lower the timings to CL7..

And you need first to test my settings in P95 Large FFT with 6x CPU multiplier to see if motherboard/RAM is stable..

Once you get it stable @ 6x 400MHz FSB = 2.4GHz THEN try with 9x 400MHz FSB = 3.6GHz and higher Vcore,to get CPU stable at that speed..

i'll try that, now im running P95 on my settings, for an hour
but the temp is already close to 80 so i think i'll need to drop some voltage and along with that some speed i guess...

damn its about 2 hours of P95 and the temp is 80 +-, is it risky? what shuold i do?

ok. the computer just shut down and restarted after 2:30 hours, probably due 2 heat.. (it was around 80)

but i went to the bios and the temp was 53C and in core temp is 70C.. i think its faking or somthing
also i touch the water block and it doesnt feels like 80C.. can i do somthing about it?
