The 8 and 6 cores need to come down in price before I even think about getting them.

The FX 4100 seems like a fun side grade for someone on a Phenom II X4 955/965.

I have little hope that AMD will fix there Bulldozers, I am already with Intels X79. Coming from a EX-AMD fanboy.

You're a fair weather fan.

I will be wating for the FX 8xxx's to develop a little more, I could only imagine that they will be launching a "e" variant in the near future that should run a little cooler. But once the tdp is below 350w at full load, heck ya I am going to do it, I render cad work all day long and every second saved is a good thing.

I threw my eggs in the BD basket when my Processor and Mobo died over the summer, i've been plugging away with a dual core phenom II that won't unlock and got an AM3+ board, i'm not diving into BD immediately but will have it before BF3 launches
post #76 of 116
I wonder if Intel has actually seen a sales increase lately because all of the people who were waiting for BD who are now jumping ship.

If they fix the crazy amount of power it takes to overclock and can fix some of the bugs and lower the price more I might grab a 8120. Otherwise since I have a good board I will either just stick with my 955 BE and wait and see if the next revision is better or just go to the next Intel release. My setup runs everything I want to run just fine.

I'll be getting the rumored 8170p or Whatever is better by Jan-Feb next year.

Wow, the benches are that bad? Kinda sad... but still

The situation isn't I'm UPGRADING to BD, it is more of I'm moving ( for school) and will be leaving my sig rig at my house. I will need a budget rig that should tear through these things. I will be returning for my BEAST, but I can't risk being tempted by video games among other reasons I wont be bringing it.

I'll find what I can; there's probably more slides somewhere in the crapstorm that is the Bulldozer Blog thread.

Heh... that's all I could find in the official reviews thread. I can guarantee you that if you read through the last 100 or so pages of the BD blog you'll find slides from other sources.

Why don't you actually do some research before you falsely accuse people?
