Sean's Sandy!

400

I never made a build log before.

The closest thing I ever did was just a few pics in the XPSC Rasa thread. (Link)

Since I got my new 650D I thought i might as well make something of it.

*6/12/13*

Well, since I last updated not much changed. Now the Plextor M5 Pro is in my laptop. The OS is now on a Plextor M6e 256GB. Only have 1 WD10EZEX as my photo drive and have a 3TB Toshiba as mass data storage. I have a 250GB Samsung EVO as my games drive. I have a 128GB Samsung 830 as my downloads drive.

The last pic of her.

Next week I'll be selling my Sandy Bridge mobo, CPU, the case the PSU, and sound card. :'(

Here is a sneak peak of what I'll be replacing it with.

So with that, this is my last update and a new adventure shall begin. :D

*6/16/13*
Well I haven't updated for a while, but I've updated some things.
biggrin.gif

I now have a 660Ti, Plextor M5 Pro, and 32GB of sexy RAM. Oh and I just installed white LED strips!
biggrin.gif

*7/28/12*
Got myself a i7 2600K off of metallicamaster3 here. We'll hopefully see how good of a overclocker it is. (es meh)

*4/22/12*
Got Windows 8 beta, new fans, sold the 560Ti, planning on a new mobo, cpu and RAM.

*2/12/12*
Redid my wire management, it is way better now, plus I have everything zip-tied down pretty good. Also, stuck both of my SSDs up in the 5.25" bays and I wrapped 3 rubber bands around the each HDDs and the sliders so they don't vibrate and make any noise anymore in the HDD cage. And I got a Plextor M3 Series 128GB SSD.

For my HDDs there is no more mumble when doing backups or seeking for files. Just wrap the rubber bands like so and slide them in the bays.

Here is a Cinebench 11.5 run:

*12/11/11*
Just a quick video on remounting the Silver Arrow...10C cooler load temps!

*12/3/11*
Just a video of my system and running Prime 95 to test my 5GHz O.C. and my settings. I was extremely tired when making it...Passed 20hrs of Prime 95 stable, yay!

I love the look of the 650D. I've become a big fan of Corsair and their classy cases. Kinda like Lian-li, or maybe better.
biggrin.gif

It's definitely a potent system you've got there. That 2500K will bring you great joy.

One thing though. Why don't you have you HSF as an intake? Wouldn't that be better to cool it down?

Temps are well within the safe range...I ended up moving the hd cage any ways lol.

I tried...It doesn't comply with me.

Thanks, I have the fan on the heatsink blowing out towards the rear fan b/c it gives me cooler temps.

Yep, that's why the cables are all mushed lol

As for water...sold my set up during the summer, didn't like it anymore.

And I was considering sleeving but, not worth it to me anymore XD

Nice

I've ordered a camera so I can take good pictures of my system. I've just used a 2Mpixel mobilephone previously... So hopefully I can get some good pictures soon...

Also, I've just fixed cable management in my CM Storm Scout. Very difficult case for hiding cables though. Had to work hard on it.

When I get the camera I will try and take some pictures and see how it goes.

Thanks for offering your help with photos, as I have no clue on those things
So will remember your offer

I think the CM Storm Scout is a sexy case, but as I've said, it's cable management is very difficult.
