Bunch of sillies, couldn't overclock a CPU to save their lives
I am a bit mixed over the strange choice in ram, given that BD supports faster ram then PH2 did.

lol'd.

SB can be overclocked to 5.1 on air. The quotes ive seen are 4.7 on air for BD. Keep in mind that this is an 8 core processor, I think its before its time. Compare the 990x to a SB, even at 4.6 the 6core 990x still wins in some benchmark tests vs. a 5.1 SB because those tests are optimized for higher core processors.

yeah, umm... stock clocks are the base of performance. maybe it gets better if you overclock it, but a chip that sucks at stock compared to another chip at stock will still suck compared to that other chip when both are overclocked.

amd wantspeople to say "it may be bad at stock, but i can overclock it!"

It's 8 Integer cores and 4 FP cores, its not really a true 8 core
also, SBs at 5Ghz isnt as common as people act like it is. and on top of that, im not comparing intel to AMD. at all.

Yeah, its the BASE of performance.
As in, it can go a lot faster, which was all they were trying to do.

Already data on that. HT is good @ 2600. NB MAX on air so far is 2800, and even that is sometimes instable. Also, the performance gains from NB clocking were minimal. Nothing like the scaling Thuban received.
