NB performance gains aren't that fantastic with Deneb either though..

el gappo benched his with NB and HT overclocked at 5.1GHz in Cinebench, it was actually about as fast as an i5-2500k @ 5GHz, and was probably using well over twice as much power.

So for similar performance you pay more up front... then more later?

And good god almighty at 586. I could never in a million years fold with that CPU and a 590 simultaneously like I am right now.

is that total system draw ? or is that cpu draw, cuase 586w is like I dunno

586w / 1.5v = 390amps

I could have sworn some of the reviews had overclocked BD chips as well as stock...

I have been reading nothing but BD review's and think people are being slightly over critical. I have read a few different place's that ASUS is having some slight problems when the BD chip is used. diff place's site different reasons why ASUS is having issue's. how ever!! this is a BRAND NEW architecture! yes it's performace is lame, but I think we need a month or two befor we can call it a fail...notice how there is a lack of AMD doing damage control? I'll bet they are busy getting all the facts to see what is going on. I also noticed that there where only bench's using a crap selection of RAM and a single 6970(for game's). Maybe Bulldozer favors Crossfire/sli and blossum's when 2 GPU's are used. I want to see what happends when some OCN.net members get some retail chips and run them though the ringer!

Also, what the @%^# are you guys thinking? That a new product can be put out with out a single problem or hitch? AMD is making an attempt to reinvent the wheel! I'm no defending bulldozer's fail as much as trying to look at this mess objectively. And who care's if this is a Phenom I story all over again? I have been nothing but happy with the performance of my Phenom II and look forward to what bulldozer dose over the next month or two....ok I'm done with my rant be gentle lol!

Whait...one last thought. Even if BD never digs it's way out of this nice little hole it has put itself in it dose not change the fact that my $140 Phenom II at 3.9GHz (on air) kick's some gaming butt! I was able to pull a solid 60 FPS in the BF3 beta with decent settings(med/high) @ 1080p! ok, now i'm done lol.

Bulldozer reminds me of Pentium 4, P4 was hot running and gobbled up power. Athlon had a much better architecture and a 2ghz athlon was equivelent to a 3ghz P4. Sound familiar anyone.

How so? They aren't graphics cards. There aren't immature drivers to blame the performance on. Nothing is going to change between now and the end of the year.
