Good quality, low price 500-550w psu - Page 2

btw with an Athlon II X2 and HD 6850, you'll probably draw under 200W except in extreme scenarios. Regardless, the freebie power supplies that come bundled with cases suck, and you really don't want to be trusting your computer to such a thing (except for a few exceptions like some of the bundled Antec units, some of the mini-ITX case+PSUs, etc.). The rated power is usually pretty optimistic too, and you can check what they label on +12V etc. too if you want...

Rosewill HIVE is a good option, but do you really want one with modular cables? If not, the Antec Neo Eco 520C should serve you well.

Price is pretty low now at $50 - $10 promo code (ends 10/19) - $5 MIR, free shipping:

It's on the recommended list:

And as shown here, it's got Seasonic internals and fairly solid performance:

Wondering if I should get it because it's on discount and seems to be on par with the other psu's, if I'm reading the specs correctly..
Check your link and repost a valid one.

This is the one I tried to post, and it seems like it should be a good choice.

I wouldn't go with Rosewill, they're not known for high quality PSUs. Your PSU is one of the few parts in your system you don't want to go cheap on. Antec is leaps and bounds better than Rosewill.

No, not known for quality PSUs by those who have been building PCs for years.

Also, join date...today? Lol, and you're already flaming. GJ.

Gotcha. I just meant as a whole, Rosewill isn't as good as Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, PC P&C, etc.

Not flaming, just asking you to stop spilling ignorance with every post you make.
