At this rate.. I highly doubt they'll get back into the game.

They said 10% increase per new generation for Bulldozer, so it won't be until 2014 that AMD can match Sandy Bridge in performance. By that time Intel will have 2nd gen 22nm, and a die shrink of Haswell in the works. Lame.
Ivy, hurry up!

I'm out of the computer hardware world.

I'm not gonna buy a new computer until God knows when, proabably until this one blows up.

I've been let down by Intel (when I switched to AMD). Then Bulldozer's terrible performance and now... this.

I swear I ain't gonna buy nothing until the current rig blows up.

just a minor point, but i would take anything an ex employee says about a company with a big pinch of salt, no one leaves a company because they feel good about it. And anyone who has seen the inside of a company any company could write volumes on the things that company would not want the outside world to know about. its called business get used to it.

Yes BD is a dissapointment and yes AMD will advertise it using figures that support it and show it in the best possible light. Complaining about that is like buying axe deodorant and being surprised when it doesn't make you a chick magnet, Its called advertising if you want the truth its not like the facts and figures aren't out there to find.

+1, I had high hopes for the quad core or hexa core, but if the 8core is performing this way, i can't even imagine how the lower versions will perform.

It wasn't so much the marketing as it was the change in manufacturing and designing of new chips.

Not sure why anyone would have paid serious attention to manufacturer benchmarks/comparisons of their own parts.

Even without lying outright, there are so many ways to handicap the competition and spin results, that the results you do get say nothing.

I didn't believe in them when all of my systems had AMD processors, and I don't believe in AMD or Intel now.

I just bought their parts.

Anyone notice that they purposely used slower ram on all the Intel machines? Im surprised they even divulged that info.
