First PC build

Thread Starter
Hey guys, new member here looking to build my first PC, and I'm pretty scared that I'm going to mess something up. I was hoping to get some critique for my build to make sure everything is compatible, or if there were any better options for parts.

The PC will mainly be used for gaming, and possibly video and picture editing on the side. I would also like something that I can upgrade later on if I feel the need.

Here is the build so far:

Looks good, and an awesome looking first build. I would suggest getting an aftermarket heatsink however to be able to overclock that 2500K.

Also yes the RAM is the same basic RAM and for overclocking on the 1155 socket is identical.

SSD? Would highly recommend one, IF it is within your budget?

Thanks! I was thinking about taking it easy until I become more comfortable with the system before I tried overclocking it. Also planing on doing a bit of research.

I was trying to stay under $800, but that might change if I see any glaring weaknesses.

... I don't think a SSD is in my budget right now, but It may very well be an upgrade in the future.

nice build

have you ever thought about water cooling because a H70 or an H60 would give you sufficient cooling and it can handle almost anything you might throw at it in the future
