Genre

Rougelike RPG, Action-Adventure

Personal Impression

One of the best parts of this game is that every single play-through is unique; the rooms are different, you won't encounter bosses in the same order, and the items you find won't necessarily be the same in a play-through. This is by definition a rougelike game.

It's not easy at first especially if it's your first time playing this game because it requires an understanding of all NPC behaviors. I had some difficulty with this game even though it seems to be pretty simple. (I died on the first room on my first play-through D:) Once you make it to the final boss, things start to get easier and easier; though, not to the point where the game becomes less of a challenge but because you know what's going on. At this point, you continue to find newer items and characters. A running list of this is kept on the menu screen.

As you play through, you'll learn that some combinations of items are better than others and this will correlate to how easy a unique play-through it.

Graphics

As for functionality of the game itself, graphics options are very simple: choose quality and resolution which the max is 1280x800. The reason the resolution max is 1280x800 is because this is a flash game. But that doesn't change the fact that is an awesome game. In fullscreen mode, the game will just stretch to fit you screen and maintain the aspect ratio; so there will be bars on the left and right sides on the game.

biggrin.gif Definitely Recommended biggrin.gif

Resurrection at last!

The latest indie game I've been playing is a first person puzzle game called Q.U.B.E. In some ways it can be likened to Portal. It's got different puzzle mechanics though. You use light, colors, gravity, magnets, rotating platforms and extruding blocks in various ways to solve the puzzles. There's no story, just puzzles upon puzzles which is not necessarily a bad thing. Overall, a fun game for those who enjoy this genre.

That game did look quite interesting I might pick it up during the steam summer sale

I'm currently playing cave story+ as I have never actually played cave story, it is quite the masterpiece.

I'm looking for a old game that was named ''Rock Band'' I think, It was a simulation game where you had to form your band, create or buy songs and book gigs for them etc etc and I can't seem to find this game anymore ..

Do you guys know any games like this?

When it comes to isaac screenshots, few can match the badass-ness of this one:

infomancer do you need any help with anything on the thread?

BTW: Frozen Synapse will be getting DLC soon, with at least one new unit, new games modes, mutators, and possibly co-op.

Also, a commented playthough of a level from Monaco, an upcoming co-op stealth action game, by the developers.
