Haha, np man, I played this game when it first came out - I remember it scaring the crap out of me because I turned off all the lights and jacked the volume, miss games like that.

Enjoy!

For sikkmod:
Quote:
To install this , just extract the sikkmod folder into your DOOM 3 folder. If you wish to launch DOOM 3 with sikkmod everytime , instead of having to go to the mod menu and such , just type " +set fs_game sikkmod " into your launch target or steam launch settings.

For texture and mono pack:
Quote:
When installing these , place monoxeads first into your sikkmod folder , then install wulfens ( override any of monoxeads for wulfens for the best visuals ) After that , its time for installing the parallax occlusion mapping. When you installed wulfens texture pack , there was folder called parallax occlusion mapping. Inside that folder is a folder called glprogs. Move that folder into your sikkmod folder and that will activate the POM.*

* Parallax occlusion mapping is very gpu intensive depending on your system. I am lucky enough to have dual 580 lightnings overclocked to 954mhz and my gpu usage is around 17-22% on average. I have heard of issues with ATI based system with using parallax occlusion mapping in doom 3 so i cant guarantee it will work perfect on ATI systems.

I'm still getting the crazy weird effect whenever I enable any of the sikmod settigns... plus I can clearly see the textures are not changed.

Like in the pics below...

With an ATI card you have to disable catalystai derko. Not sure if you tried but i also tried many methods explained to me none of which disabled catalystai .

Until I finally found a way. Using radeonpro make a profile it to the doom 3 .exe. Then navigate to D:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\RadeonPro\Profiles (D is probably C for you) and right click the doom 3 profile (mine being steam says _steam_steamapps_common_doom3_doom3.exe) and open in notepad and add this line

Property name="CatalystAI" value="0" /

For some weird reason it OCN wont let me post the line of code with numerous changes i made. Finally it worked by removing the beginning and ending tags. So just add a < before property and a > after the /

Only thing that worked for me. Good luck

Yes with catalyst ai all options create the zoom-in affect.

If you enable HDR does it give you a white screen? If so catalyst AI is not disabled.

PS: SSAO also gives me bad/weird shading affects so i just leave that off a long with soft shadows, that really acts funky.

Yep... same issues here.

I actually am able to simply disable crossfire through radeonpro and have it work as if CatAI was disabled.

Man... why is HDR so resource consuming?!

Also, what am I doing wrong with the textures? I put them in the main sikk folder and they don't seem to be working in game.

I extracted the wulfens pk4 file with 7-zip into the sikkmod folder. Hope that was right.

Although there are now other pk4 files in the sikkmod folder containing other files which i didnt extract. Not sure if i was supposed to.
