Yeah that's definitely the easiest way. Here's what I'm considering though.

Splice (strip ends, twist, solder and heat shrink) 3 wires together so they form a Y connection rather than, crimp 2 wires together which forms a V connection. This would mean all wires would look the same when inserted into the PSU and PCI-E connectors. Also the join can be done at the back of the motherboard tray so it wouldn't be visible.

What are your thoughts?

Y is what everyone does which IMO is the best route to go. or else your sleeve will look pretty beefy compared to the other sleeves.

GL and yeah who would have known that they use some freaky super glue to hold the fans in place.

Update: I've finally finished sleeving 1 of the PCI-E cables, I'm not looking forward to doing the other 3. Check out the "Cable Sleeving" section to see how it turned out. You might notice that the stickers have been removed from the PSU and the memory sticks. Sometimes less is more wink.gif

Subbed!

I'm loving it - sounds very similar to the build im working on - although I haven't fully committed to the level of detail your cable sleeving will exemplify

+Rep for the SLI'd MATRIX GTX 580's - that is no simple feat in terms of funding wink.gif

Although I'm know expert when it comes to sleeving, I'm going to post some step-by-step instructions (with allot of photos) on how I go about crimping/sleeving. Hopefully this will help other just starting out.

Funding the parts is easy. Explaining to the girlfriend where half my pay-check has gone, that's the hard part wink.gif
