I doubt you'll seen that much difference in performance. I don't think the problem lies in higher memory speeds to correlate with the IMC. While you might see a gain in performance i just can't see it making or breaking the benchmarks. Problems lie in the L3 & L2 cache or so i read.

That's an unfair test to make your BD chips look better than they are.
It's like comparing an overclocked 6970 to a stock 570. Of course the 6970 is going to be better, because it's overclocked...

If you're going to compare, you should alter one variable, and one variable only:
FX 8150 with 1600Mhz
i7 2600k with 1600Mhz

Not entirely. Running them from their perspective default speeds is what should be done. That being said, over clocking the default speed of the i7 from 1333 to 1600 is no different than the example you linked if the BD is at its native supported speed.
