I just can't see why AMD WHY! The suckerz had 7 damn years and they make this BS! Intel here I come, Sandy Bridge E u will be mine! So much time waisted with AMD, when SB-E comes out damn AMD will be history. I was such a supporter and with releasing the BD all they did was ***** in my face.

Now that an octo comes out, with actual, "even" scores to it's competition...It's "crushed", "crap" and an epic fail.

I think the vast majority of you need to take a picture because, you'll get a perfect shot of the "rare and elusive" elitist hypocrite.
People have higher expectations. People expect an 8-core CPU part to perform better than a 4-physical-core or 6 core part. And the benches are anything but "even" outside of Handbrake...nice review just up on Guru3D:

http://www.guru3d.com/article/amd-fx...mance-review/1

People are disappointed that despite all assurances from AMD beforehand...we'll have to wait until BD 2.0 for AMD to fix their architecture...meanwhile Intel steams ahead with faster chips. I was hoping for a CPU to replace my 1055T SMP folder upstairs...turns out BD 8150x8 is worse @ folding than my x6 I already have, and is also worse than my i7-950. BD has been overhyped for years, almost like Windows Longhorn->Vista.

Yes, true but we live in the now time not in the future, I will not invest in something that will perform better in like 10 years from now, I wan't Performance NOW! with Intel I get that, coming from a Ex-AMD Fanboy.

Other than trolling, I see no reason for Intel fanboys to be here. It matches or beats the 1100t ineverything except single threaded performance. From the gaming tests, it looks to be a great competitor. sPI or Cinebench isn't going to benefit anyone in real life usage. This is like people at XDA who think quadrant determines real life performance

Now we have an 8 core chip that actually competes with the 4 core version and it's a "failure".

Hypocrites, much?

The 8150 is meant to compete with the 2500k and it does so WITH an "equal" price point.

Less QQ and more pew pew IMHO.
Games use 4 cores. Games do not use 8 cores. 8150 does not compete with sandy, and costs $30 dollars more than the 2500k chip that whoops it in gaming and gets destroyed the the 2600k THAT BEATS THE 8 CORE BD IN MULTI THREADED APPS LIKE VIDEO EDITING. It really is just a failure, I hoped it would be competive so there would be more competition but alas...
