And over parenting. My older brother has a pretty severe nut allergy, and the onus was on him to simply avoid peanuts, not everyone around him to change their preferences completely so as not to get one iota of peanut oil within 30 meters of him. PB&Js were still a staple in my house growing up, he just had his own almond butter, and we were careful to put jelly on our bread before the PB, or use 2 knives. The levels I've heard people going to these days to keep peanuts away from their kids is stupid. What happens when they walk into a restaurant that fries everything in peanut oil? They will have developed no resistance or acclimation to it and it will be a decidedly unpleasant experience.
Re: The actual story, I hope it works, cause that would be awesome! Plus, maybe they can find 'cures' for other allergic reactions.
