Power Supply Ampage

So I am trying to figure out how many watts I need to give my computer. I was thinking of buying the 850w version of:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139015

But I wasn't sure if that was enough for what I am building.

What parts should I look at to add up voltage output on my system? Like i wasnt sure if RAM had an output lol. sorry im a newb...i just want to ensure I dont screw this desktop up.

That is a very nice psu and would handle your system just fine( two GTX580s )

850w is recommended for dual 580s.

okay im just trying to make sure because my desktop tower has one 200mm fan, 5 120mm fans, and I've installed a silver arrow on the CPU. So I was hesitant.

That power supply should be enough as its a higher end power supply, and the fact you have a less power hungry 2600k compared to my own set up.

From my own experience I saw my PSU pull about 950W from the wall when I had my 580s heavily overclocked along with my i7 940 overly overclocked. If I put my processor back to stock I believe I was pulling around 750-800W from the wall on full loading.

I don't plan on overclocking until maybe later once the parts start to go old and new programs require faster hardware.

IF that's the case you should be even moreso golden on that power supply. Though you could get away with a standard corsair/xfx/seasonic 850W power supply as well and save some cash if you don't like the thought of spending 200$ on a power supply.

You can OC your cards to 950core and will be fine with that psu.

I've had that psu with my GTX480s for a day and it handled my cards @ 920core no problem at all. The only thing I didn't like was the fan on the psu spun up that it was louder than my system. But my computer is watercooled and it's very quiet.

The GTX480s are very power hungry and inefficient, so take this into consideration.
