Accessory Suggestion...

Hello... I just took ownership of a couple of 360 rad mounts and here is how I am modding them. Figured it would be worth taking a look at for improving your product.

I plan on cutting out the area in green. My plan is to mount the rad on the outside of the rad mount and this will leave room for the barbs and tubing. This mounting would only work for thin rads but according to my eyeball, there is enough clearance for my Swiftech MCR rads.

Happy to see that you are putting the ped to good use!

Interesting idea, but it would have to be a pretty thin radiator to fit on that side. I'd like to see it when you have them mounted

That sounds like a challenge... Will the 34mm MCR not fit? If not, then I have an additional suggestion.

My rads will be here tomorrow... I'll see what I can do.
I think the rad mounts was designed with a pedestal in mind or at least for use in push configuration.. if you put the rad on the outside, you are going to go pull config?

There will be a slight performance hit if you go with pull instead of push.. Martin tested this and result is pull only config with no shroud being one of the worst performers, I think next to stacking 2 360 rads together as being the top worst performer..

link here..

As with many of the radiators, it's not a perfect squared rectangular shape, if you put it on pull, air flow gets sucked in from the sides between the radiator and the fan spacing, I tested this on a SR1 vs TA120.3 and found that there was a 2-3c difference both using pull only, switched it around to push only and both ended up being about the same with a added benefit of even a lower delta by 1-2c..

Just FYI

I think 34mm is pushing it. 25mm + maybe 5mm or less for the side panel. Tough call. And damn those 420 mounts are tough to get in too.. especially the phobya's with the two g1/4 top ports!!! Off topic, but thank god for dremels.

420's can be a bit tight but the newer pedestals allow the side cover mounting brackets to be removed which makes it much easier. The early ones were riveted into place.
