Quick question regarding audio

so i am using an old pc to use as an HTPC and i have a 6800GT (agp) on it, it does not have an hdmi port on it.

So I want to get audio out of my pc i have an old sound blaster sound card can i use a 3.5mm to RCA red/yellow connector to connect to my tvs built in speakers to get sound? would it work? Thanks.

Sure it would work you just wont get the best sound out of it. 2 channel at most. Which isnt bad if your just using TV speakers.

you might need to split the red jack... so that you can get both channels out to your tv. maybe something like this.
