Is it normal? Who knows? I'm sure a great majority of the people who buy a new mouse don't scan their new mouse for the tiniest scratch. I don't even notice the scratch in your picture even with the red circle.

but not right out of the box and that kind of manufacturing scratch is different from later man made kind or wear out kind...I FEEL
