Full title: iCloud Is a Bigger Deal Than You Think: It’s the Future of Computing

Quote:
Remember life before cellphones? It's hard, because they are so ubiquitous and essential. iCloud marks a similar turning point, a transition from an old way of doing things. It makes computers easy for everyone, by making computing disappear.

I love Cloud technology. Easy to use and don't have to carry things around like discs.

I don't like how it's potentially not private.

At this rate it wont be long till we get iTieMyLaces.

iCloud does make stuff easier, and works pretty well, but i cant help but feel we are all worse of for it.

Cool thing I do like. How it'll sync pics to everything else. Saves contacts and won't have to worry bout grabbing them. What I wonder tho. Cuz I haven't looked too much into it. Can you edit contacts on the icloud server?

Privacy? Who the hell cares for another person's property? Unless you're some criminal.

Nothing is sacred online, and nothing is really private either...

If you want privacy then dont join a cloud service, where you dont control the data

If it wont be 100% private, it wont be used by majority of users.

This is not correct.

Clouds allow businesses to PCOIP which, is a dramatic change.

What it means is more workers...It becoming more user friendly...And more businesses being 100% on clouds.

I know of 3 offices atm that are major players on wall street, their entire offices are virtual clouds.

What isn't being understood is that the security is the responsibility of the cloud's company.

Pick a secure cloud and you won't have privacy issues.
