The water didnt come onto electronic parts, so the pump was just a bit louder than usual, and I had been running like that for 2 or more days since explosion.

When I opened the case I was shocked how that loop could still be running, with just half of inch of bottom cup of RES full of water!
Your right that is a really weird situation !!
