Going to buy a FX 4100 to play with.

What will be a good board and is the stock cooler okay? I need a good psu right?

If you mean play by overclocking, get a UD3, UD5 or Sabertooth or something that has good power phases. And I don't think an extremely nice PSU is necessary for the 4100.

I'll take it off your hands when your done with it

stock cooler should be ok with stock clocks and make sure to check and see if it unlocks!

Getting UD3. Oh will 400W be enough? Stock wont get any overclock right?

400 watt i doubt it a good 550w PSu should hadle it

He's talking about the 4 core proc.. lower power usage.

Though a decent 550w is rarely that much more expensive than a decent 400w PSU.

Im getting the ANTEC NEO ECO 520 Watts....UD3 Mobo....what about the ASUS. M5A87 is that a good one? I can get it cheap.. But if it isnt that good ill just spend more money on the UD3

Would be good to see if the FX-4100 clocks any higher than the 4.6 GHz I see for the 8150. And compare performance and power consumption of the 4100 at those clocks to 4-4.2 GHz Phenom II X4s.

Just realized the line in my last post rhymed

Thats a good question. Most reviews don't overclock the 4100 laying more emphasis on the 8 core.
