Alternative to BD Build

Thread Starter
After the recent flop of Bulldozer, I requested an refund for my AM3+ board. I'm still looking to upgrade my current build, so I'm hoping you guys can help me out.

I plan on keeping my case and power supply for now as well as my GTX 470 and 9800GT. I would, however, like suggestions for a motherboard, CPU, and RAM. At this stage, I'm considering going with Intel, but I'll leave that to you guys.

I'm looking at a budget of $550 - have at it!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I use my desktop mainly for gaming and video production.
