2500K. Now, Later or Later..er? - Page 4

I think when I do get an SSD, it will be 64GB+ so the SSD caching probably won't be needed. It seems to me that there is hardly any difference between the G45 and the GD53 so I think I'll get the G45. Everything else should be good, I'll just use the stuff I have.

if you wont be using SSD cache then just go for Asus P8P67 Pro.
You dont need G45 as its Z68 plus low end. The Pro will be mid range.

If it's a choice between upgrading now or waiting 2 years you definitely can't go wrong with 2500k. You could also wait for SB-E and Ivy bridge to come out and probably get a used 2500k here in the market for pretty cheap. That way you could also save for a better mobo.
