It's a BETA release right now, along with other versions

The bios updated are all tested by Andre and Shammy (Peter Shamino)
They are the two main guys behind the scenes at ASUS.

I'll be honest. This is one of the reasons I chose the ASrock Fatal1ty. Frankly out of all of the boards only 2 boards said they officially supported FX chips on newegg. They were both ASrock Boards.. the Fatal1ty and the extreme. And as we've seen in benchmarking... the ASrock boards tend to hold their own with the BD chip.

on these boards, bulldozer came up equal or better in most respects with the intel chips. and in gaming, it had a wide margin as it should have.

bulldozer delivered on some boards, and had not, that tells us that there is an issue with some boards, period.

evident conclusion of empirical data surpasses anything else.
Both of those examples are GPU bottlenecked. You're touting a +3 FPS difference.

This is nothing more than a terrible attempt at damage limitation, and trying to buy themselves more time.

New boards / immature bios / new platform - so must perform crap right?

I don't recall there being such issues with LGA1155 P67 boards with UEFI BIOS'.

Can you both go somewhere else and dump your internet garbage? All I see is you two trashing this thread when I am trying to see if there is any news about this issue with bioses/kernek updates ect. There IS a thread about BD performance, but it seems you insist on polluting every BD thread you can.

OT: Any updates on the Asus issue?

Wait a few weeks till all the bugs are ironed out on the Crosshair V, then you can pass judgement =P
I just flashed my bios with 0813, is that the latest version? And will it affect my current setup?

I flashed mine to 0813 and everything seems to be running fine. Only had issues when I tried to install drivers for the soundcard (not onboard), but safe-mode install seemed to do the trick.
