I wish I could say yes but the answer is no. For every 1 person on here trying to be genuinely useful there are 2 people on here that post simply to enhance their "post count" , "rep count" , and epeen.
Overclock.net wishes to be a professional site but they seem to moderate very selectively and biased. Frankly I wish they would get more strict and moderate and discipline the children more. It was out of hand before this release now its off the deep end as far as I am concerned and I've lost a lot of respect for the site. I may have only registered this year but it was simply because of bulldozer and a few other questions I had that I did. I think its soon time for me to lurk again and delete this account as I don't wish to be counted as part of a community that claims to be professional but isn't. THW is obviously where I need to do my lurking again.
BACK TO THE TOPIC:
It seems that there is a major basic input/output system PROBLEM. Gigabyte just pulled the bios all the reviewers using gigabyte and bulldozer used. That indicates a major problem. Asus seems to have had a major problem with their CHV board since it was released and it still hasn't been fixed.
(that doesn't surprise me considering I have not used an ASUS board for 3 builds simply because their bios have always been substandard and sometimes worse than the defaults)
I am thinking there may be a few problems that we've seen with this release. Some of it is probably the chip and the architecture. I will postulate though that most of it is actually bios/motherboard/software problems. I mean still most software isnt multithreaded and thats where bulldozer is really meant to be is in multithreaded tasks.Edited by Darkpriest667 - 10/14/11 at 2:08pm
