In what world is 1050 high resolution? I have a 47 inch monitor I havent played 1050 for probably 3 years

Also metro 2033 is known to be one of the worst optimized games in modern times.. along with the ORIGINAL Crysis... so yeah bulldozer performed poorly on them.. so freaking what I dont own either of those crap games..

explain to me why the fx cant keep up with sandy in this review when paired with more then one card at high resolutions mind you.

Tweaktown used the same asus the rest of those reviewers used... We know its a bios problem with asus and gigabyte boards and all high resolution benchmarks from ASrock and MSI show the BD chip smashing @ stock btw the i7 and i5. I suspect in the coming weeks we're going to see bios releases from GB and ASUS and we'll see a performance improvement. Also you intel boys seem to forget that windows had to release a major update to vista x86 and 64 to actually even enable hyperthreading.. up until that point athlon processors were still kicking the crap out of the original i7.

On a side note.. I've reported several of you for posting off topic and several more of you for posting things that violate the TOS.

I'm for one going to make it very very very clear that this is still supposed to be a professional message board and we need to keep our language and attitudes as such. I don't mind the intel jab here and there but what some of you are doing is downright childish. Including some of the images that are completely unecessary. Lets remember many of our friends in Europe and Asia have bandwidth caps and your 13 megabyte pictures that are just troll attempts at best are eating up their precious bandwidth.

BD owns at hi-res.
Nobody is denying that the FPS being shown is higher. We are denying what you think of as BD being superior in high resolutions. Even the reviewers are telling you:

http://www.anandtech.com/show/4955/t...x8150-tested/8

"While we're GPU bound in the full render score, AMD's platform appears to have a bit of an advantage here. We've seen this in the past where one platform will hold an advantage over another in a GPU bound scenario and it's always tough to explain. Within each family however there is no advantage to a faster CPU, everything is just GPU bound."

Clearly the higher FPS in a GPU-limited game does not indicate that the CPU is actually better. In simpler words: IT DOES NOT COUNT.

Congrats!

Nice 5% advantage running at 4.2GHz vs. 3.4GHz.

Your victory is decisive!!

Now buy one before they are sold out!

You need to realise something....AMD screwed up. Big time. Regardless of the motherboard. AMD should have checked and rechecked everything. If your blaming it on the motherboard, its still their fault.
I hate to say it, cause I was really hoping amd would release an awesome new cpu, but for now, its not.
What brand is that "same" one? Is it the same one where all of the BD tests came up poor?

What happens when the brand is changed?

This happens:

There is nothing wrong with the ASUS CHV results.

Outside of these select gpu limited benchmarks every other tests they ran on non CHV's provided exactly the same results...

Where did you get the info that it's 3.4ghz vs 4.2ghz?

you have to realize this is the motherboard in question that the thread is actually talking about. So the point of reposting the same benchmarks we've seen about 50 million times with an ASUS board is illegitimate. Lets wait until some people here at OCN have benchmarked it on NON ASUS and NON GB boards.. and see if their results are different.

bolded underlined statement I absolutely agree with. I am very upset with AMD shipping out this board and this chip the way they did. Its unexcusable and at the end of the day they are still completely the ones to be held responsible.
