I won't quote it all - but well said 2010Rig - well said.

PS - In case you hadn't heard - Ivy is rolling off the production lines as of NOW.

Wow... Blame it on us for their shortcomings. That will teach us to not expect too much from the crappy processor.

Let's keep this discussion on AMD FX, and AMD's take on the whole thing.
All I said is that it isn't inferior.....

How does saying a card that costs $200 more than another make an entire series inferior when if you compare AMD to Nvidia cards at their respective levels in fact Radeons win quite a bit of the time.

Great, so an 8-core chip clocked higher can barely beat a 4 core chip without hyperthreading??

That is really the best they can say about their top of the line chips:
" As a result, we immediately took the video down".

No you didn't AMD, you disabled the comments filled with people caling BS on your fake video and left the video uploaded for many days. But keep the lies flowing, its doing wonders for you.

Yep, lots of people pointed it out the same day they posted it. It only took them a week to take it down, and rectify "their mistake", and they stand by their claim that they are competitive in key benchmarks.

It's not their fault Bulldozer took forever to re-encode the video and fix the content

Ouch, low blow lol...

I wish Bulldozer lived up and was compatible with AM3 boards. This whole debacle has left me and many others without a viable upgrade due to misinformation from the get go. At least with Intel you can expect to have to get a new motherboard when upgrading CPU

The way I see it, if you have a Thuban, there is no point in upgrading sidegrading\\downgrading to BD. I hope BIOS's\\AM3+ compatability gets worked out for AM3 boards and PD is a healthy step up from Thuban as all I can afford at the moment is a new CPU. At this point though, might as well just keep saving and see what is on the market when I get a few hundred bucks put back..

You just killed the thread, no one is going to reply to that. Oh wait I did.

Better question is: By a show of hands, who knew 8 cores WOULDN'T be good for gaming if IPC was sacrificed?

Thats just it though, we all was under the impression IPC would be better. I personally thought single core performance would be right at or just under first generation i7's and thought multi core performance would be better than a 2600K.

When the delays started coming, I started to get an uneasy feeling about BD.
