Acer Aspire AS5750G-6824

Sup! My dell laptop just broke ( piece of junk). And I am in need of a laptop that can max graphics on games like SC2, HoN and other games similar to that. I was eyeing on Lenovo's IdeaPad, but the prices were too costly for me at the moment. I stumbled upon this Acer on newegg:

and was wondering if its the best bang for my buck if my budgets <$700 tax included. If not, i would be glad for some suggestions

I just got my laptop. This one to be exact:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834230096

It was only $699 at the time. It's maxed everything I've thrown at it (Oblivion with TP3, MW2, MafiaII, New Vegas, etc.)

The 520m is a lot slower than a 540m (I think the 520m has 48cores while the 540m has 96)

I looked at that Acer when I was looking for laptops, I waited and luckily this thing showed up. If you wanna max SC2, wait a bit and maybe a laptop in that price range will show up with a 540m. But still, its not terrible, but not great. Equivalent to a 9500GT desktop.

Hope this helps!

All I could recommend that be in that price range would be a GT540M, or a GT555M. I have used both (friend owns a 555M)

I'd recommend you look at this:

Though I've heard some complaints about poor thermal design and resulting CPU throttling.

or you can check the Lenovo weekly deals, they have a great deal this week on a 14" Sandy Bridge i3 GT550M laptop for $650.
