http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8170-built-clevo-p170hm-custom-gaming-laptop-p-2971.html?wconfigure=yes

I'll be rendering and encoding video.
I'll be doing graphic design and programming....
I'll be working with photoshop aswell..
I will also be doing light gaming....

Reason I'm asking others to help pick for me is because my choices aren't very good and people keep telling me that I don't need 16 gigs of ram for what I'm doing or the 90% glossy color gamut...(I want the colors to be as accurate as possible) I might try and get the spyder 3 optimization?

How much do you have to spend and does it have to be the Sager model? Will you also be using Adobe Premiere and After Effects as well?

Well I am only a 15 year old kid in the tenth grade, and this is what I wanna do for my career and I would like to continue practicing on this laptop at school or wherever I may be. this will be a Christmas gift.

I understand how you feel about this for a career because it's close to the same thing I'm doing now as an editor. However, I need to know how much can be spent before any customization can occur.

I'd like it to be around $1500 but I guess $2000 will be fine.

Would you rather have a matte screen then?

Honestly youll prob be spending around 2000
could go with a 15inch instead...the 8150
but screen size does mater for editing (specially resolution)

The 8150 you can get
2760QM i7 processor
GTX 580m(better technology for editing)
Pick the option for the memory that saves you 50 bucks..(special) right now they have it
Then use Newegg and get this memory
Editing stations utilize memory but have yet to see a system that uses 16 GB on a notebook for that but you can get the max memory for it

would go to newegg n get two kits of this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231295

will be good to go ...
that total comes out to be like
1958.43 from sager...then about 89 bucks from newegg for the memory kits..(16GB)
so not bad for it honestly thats a system that i am still going to build...
