GTX 560 TI SLi for BF3?

Thread Starter
Questions here. How well did the GTX 560 TI run BF3 in SLI at 1920x1200? Also how loud does this setup get? Heat I'm not too worried about, but sound I am. And the quieter the better. And I am assuming a seasonic 750 xseries can handle this type of sli...

GTX 560Ti should be able to run Battlefield 3 with mostly ultra settings, and little to no AA smoothly.

The setup should run a little louder than your sig rig, but it depends on many factors (overclock, fan profile, which cooler you select, how close the cards are together, etc)

A Seasonic X750 will be able to handle this sli for sure

I am not sure on the noise but it will play BF3 on high at 1920x1200 and yes that 750watt is plenty of power.

I ran BF3 demo with 1 reference 560 ti, and got about 50+ FPS with my setup. (1920 x 1080). When I went to SLI at reference clocks, it went up to 85+ ranges. My settings were with everything on high. Sorry I don't remember precisely what it was. But it was very smooth with no stutter.

Hope that helps you out.

How loud did it get? And were you using the reference gtx 560 ti type card with the reference fan etc...

I sure hope VRAM isn't as much of an issue in the full game. I really wanted to SLI, but not if it means running without full AA.

its not a demo its a beta get it right.....

@ the OP, you will be very comfortable with two 560ti especially when they are overclocked. You can do high settings with AA or maybe Ultra settings without AA. I can both of the above with my 460s OCed to 820mhz. Game runs very smooth.

To be fair, they did their best to market it like a demo. And it performed like an alpha.

Definitely not quite at the level of Wake Island demo that rocked my world.

I have a pair of 2gb 560ti's. They run Ultra on BF3 (metro map) at about 50+fps at 1080p. MSI afterburner shows max of 1536mb vram but I don't know how accurate that is.

If that is right then i will need to dump my idea of 470s in tri sli and go to the 480s in sli or tri.
