GTX 560 TI SLi for BF3? - Page 2

I have a pair of gtx 560 ti 1gig @905/1810/2052, it run everything on high 75+ fps at 1920x1080 but the noise from the fan was kinda loud at 65% fan speed. I have the Corsair Carbide Series 400R case it have holes where you mount the extra fans so the noise tend to be a little louder then a case with seal off side panel.

Yikes. I get cranky if it hits 55%...and that's with a noise reducing sealed side panel!

I was running SLI 560Ti 2gb's at 5760x1080p, and I was using all 2gb's at the time, lol...

I was getting an average of 37fps and it was still very smooth.

Hey dude, im a straight nvidia guy, but 6950 crossfire 2gb will beat gtx 560 ti 1gb in sli in this game hands down, I know of someone on here that was being VRAM limited in the beta with their gtx 560 sli, I would just get a gtx 580 if I were you

I ran the BETA (not demo, people) in Max settings (not ultra) @ 1920x1080 with my GTX 560 Ti SLI and it I got 60+FPS, passing the 100 FPS in interior settings such as inside the metro. My reference cards got a little loud, but maybe some non-reference cards with better fans can do better.

I also hope that they improve some performance issues, the ultra settings need around 1.4Gb of Vram, so if you are shooting for a GTX 560 Ti try the 2Gb version from Palit.

The question must be asked (sorry if i missed it), why are you swapping from a 6950 to SLI 560's? 6950's are better, and AMD cards seem to be a little better in bf3, based off the beta anyway.

Grab another 6950, they are nice quiet, cool cards.

dual 560Ti TFII 1GB 880MHz core (factory OC) in SLI here.

My resolution is: 1680 X 1050

during the BETA, I ran everything on high and a few details on ULTRA (that probably didn't change anything)...

Anyway, I seen one dip to 70 FPS....the rest of the time, the low average was 80 FPS outside in heavy smoke and firefights around the "CHECKPOINT" on caspian border, but generally I seen 90 FPS to 110 FPS...

No stutters, no issues with 285.38 BETA driver...

My low res helps me out here....I'll keep it at that for now....

vRAM usage= 1005 mo....really close to the max....although I'm sure the game will "suck" as much ram as it can, to make a "reserve"...guess why we call that a frame buffer after all!

I don't have GTX 560s in SLI, but my friend does and I played at his house; he rips through the BF3 beta at High settings, and I'm sure that when retail releases, the game will be more stable and scaling will be better

I was running the ASUS 560 TI on BF3 Beta on a Dell u2711 it ran fine with around 35-40 fps on med settings thought my cpu is **** and bottlenecking like a beast.. and as ultra wasnt in the beta no ones knows how much a pc killer its going to be.

Plus the pc beta was actually the Xbox 360 beta which is why it was awful and the aim assist was on... So who knows how its going to run on retail PC.

On a side note lets hope that patch dice got hiding away is 12gb+ as the amount of bugs in the beta was a joke. And if the game is client side then sigh just another COD... Anyway it should be fine

I honestly think the BF3 BETA had a mem leak, and thats why we saw such huge VRAM usage...

Who knows tongue.gif
