570 sli GPU1 hotter than gpu2 ? - Page 2

Lots of good advice here, unfortunatly its all wrong (well most of it anyway),

Asus boards report the cards in the opposite order, the bottom card on a SLI/CFX rig is actually GPU1, and the top card is GPU2

Hence why GPU1 is hotter as it is getting the water from GPU2.

When I had SLI470 (now 3-way), my bottom (GPU1) was upto 10deg different

GPU2 (Top slot) 65deg
GPU1 (Bottom slot) 75deg

These temps are in Kombuster GPU Ultra Burn in.

Have used a few cards on this board in sli/crossfire and now this setup with stock coolers and the board always showed the correct order(GPU1=TOP/GPU2=BOTTOM) so thats not the issue.

I think Windfire has the most logical explanation. The two cards are running at different voltages!

Its definatly the issue, if you have back plates for the cards, use Kombuster to burn them and physically feel the temp difference of the back plates (these get very hot mind)
