The only game I haven't been able to max and have playable framerates is FFXIV.

Then again, the Sapphire HD-6970 is also a great deal at NewEgg at only $300 w/ MIR. It's the TOXIC w/o the worry of it Un-Locking or Not.

And if you'd rather Budget you can try the Sapphire DIRT3 HD-6950, it also has the DUAL BIOS & Switch w/ UnLock potential, and can OC pretty well for about $245.

Sapphire Really has some great cards for the money in the HD-6950/6970 line-up.
So that 6950 is better than a OC'ed 6970?

Yes stick with AMD, I can't see that that board supports SLI if you decide to get another card.

I said a STOCK HD-6970's and GTX-570's ... so that excludes Factory OC'd ones or one's you OC.

But honestly look at the way the TOXIC card is BUILT ... the TOXIC cards come on a true 6970 Rev.2 PCB board, have better digital VRMs than stock 6950's, come with the 6970's 8+6 pin Power connector requirement vs the 2x's 6 pin of stock 6950's, and thus the voltage is 1.175v on the TOXIC compared to 1.100v on stock 6950's. The TOXIC card IS 99% a true HD-6970 once you Un-Lock the shaders which ARE on the 2nd BIOS on the card, no need to FLASH IT.

So is it BETTER, no ... is it the SAME, yeah just about so yes ... is it about the Same while being about $80 CHEAPER than most 6970's ?, HELLS YEAH ! and that's Better to me!
