Some console gamers like less accurate controls? - Page 2

I would not say its the controllers that are less accurate but more like The human thumb is less accurate with a joystick then the hand is with a mouse. imo

Sounds a fair assesment.

I'm a pc gamer with a controller, and why do i play on pc, well because consoles was so crap i decided to migrate to the pc world and take my controller with me, been the best gaming decision i've ever made followed by a close 2nd with stereoscopic 3d.
I do'nt play online fps, only pay car games online, rest of my games are all single player based so i do'nt get owned allthough i get that i would be owned if i tried online fps with a controller.

Just for the sake of arguing......

So does making a game easier make a game better?

Fun and skills are main parts of gaming. Now is using controller more fun? Well thats subjective

Making a game easier to control is just better game design. A good way to make a game hard but good is... Well just do what the souls games did, hard, but very fun.

iv also got a xbox controler for my pc. once you go full screen its just like having a giant xbox with amazing grafics!
i find it alot easyer to use and it intergrates very well with the windows games. obv a mouse is more acurate but i find it alot harder to spin round 120 degrees and aim right at someones head using a mouse! also i find the erganomics off a keyboard awfull. it gives me cramp after about 40 mins and you cant really feel where the buttons are and i end up staring at the keyboard pressing keys figering out which one is grenade and which one is to change gun. thats my opinion though

however you cant argue with the fact that an xbox controler was designed entirely for playing games where as a keyboard and mouse are designed for controling a pc. thats why theres a key for every leter of the alfabet. (apoligies for the lack off spelling, this laptop dosnt have a spell checker)

I have to admit that using a controller does take skill FPS wise. I used to be a strict console gamer 3 years ago and using a controller was all I knew. When I made the switch to PC I had problems with kb/m for a while at first but got used it. Every time I play a game on my 360 now I'm constantly thinking how much using a controller feels so awkward, bulky and slow and how I want my kb/m instead of a crap controller. Also my skill set on a controller is definitely not where it used to be. Kb/m is superior but pulling off the same things with kb/m on a controller is harder.

I personally am better with a controller than I have ever been on a mouse and keyboard. I like them more.
What are you going to do?
Call me stupid?
If you'd like I could assist.

If you are better with a controller than a mouse and keyboard you either suffer from some disability, such as Nomad, or you have not used a mouse and keyboard for any reasonable length of time.

Artificially limiting the skill cap of a game by requiring the user to glue his hand to his face doesnt make games better.

Would you use a NES controller nowadays to simplify gaming? No. Keyboard and Mouse if the current pinnacle of development for interfacing with games. Sure some game like fighting and racing and platformers may be better on a controller or racing wheel but out of those only fighting games are competitive and they generally have their own joystick as well I think.

Some people dont have a choice like my self. Damaged my hand a few years back. Aways get very sore uing a mouse. So using a 360Pad is great. But most PC games wont work with it very well. So i have no choice but to man up and suffer the pain if i like the game. Or just play on the 360 lol
