I don't see any mention of the word GAME or BETTER in here. He's saying it's harder to aim with a controller then with a mouse. Pretty straight forward. It has nothing to do with a game being BETTER or WORSE.

Now stop posting garbage threads.
winnnnnnnnnnar.

also, PC gamers will always be more competitive. Unless they stop making CoDs/halos every 1-2 years and give players room to actually improve a game, this will always be a constant.

How did you come to the conclusion that
easier to get killed
is more difficult than
harder to kill
?

That kind of analysis never works. It's easy to get killed in Call of Duty, and that's one of the easiest multiplayer shooters out there. It's also easy to get killed in CS, and that's one of the most difficult multiplayer shooters out there.

Take the average CS player, give him a controller, and I would be they would still be able to perform rather well in a game like CoD.

Give a CoD player a mouse and keyboard, they would get destroyed, even in pubs.

Look at South Korea for example they actually have games at the level of sports, its just a matter of time until the gamers who were frowned upon become the adults of tomorrow, which is already happening, and want to see their beloved games on TV (such as Starcraft). There are already many 30-40 year old gamers that have a lot of money from their normal jobs and they love video games and E-sports so they sponsor or watch it. This is the future. Its just a matter of time when the people who think gaming is stupid aren't in power and the people who grew up with games take those positions.

To accelerate the growth of E-sports and make gaming better on the whole its important to educate people that their is skill and that gaming is an art not a joke. Skillcaps need to be increased and games need to be competitive. Consoles make games ****ty and hold back gaming as a whole not just E-sports. Thats why PC gaming is so important because it is the future of gaming.

Consoles, achievements, controllers, ports, simplifying games, and general ignorance about gaming are the problems with gaming. I dont care if there are a bunch of consoletards and casuals but I do care when they hurt the progress of gaming by being satisfied with the garbage put before them.

what's wrong with baseball? REAL baseball

Therefore; this whole thread is a crap.
I'm not disagreeing that on a level of individual skill, the skill gap is much higher with mouse+keyboard. That's not the point. Individual aiming skill is a one small part of gaming.
For the record, there are many console games that don't have aim assists (default GoW for example, and if I recall, Killzone).

...right?
Because CoD is much easier than CS.. which I already stated?

This analogy might be worth something if you didn't switch games. If there was CS on consoles, and a PC CS player tried to play console CS, they probably would get destroyed.

Hey now, that's not fair. Halo games come out every 3 years, and each Halo game has played significantly differently than its predecessor. Competitive Halo is very real and very popular. Halo is not CoD.

To the guy who said RPGs can be played just as well with controllers, maybe in stock form they can, chances are the game was made with consoles in mind, but once you add mods you run out of buttons fast.
I've actually run out of buttons on my keyboard in GTAIV, which I play with a mix of controller and KB, driving games pretty much require a controller.

How you can enjoy spending a large chunk of your time doing something and remain horrible at it is a mystery to me, but thats most people. They want ez, they want now, they want shiny lights to flash and tell them they achieved something. I enjoy bettering myself and if I cant get good at something I dont even bother doing it at all. Why would I want to be mediocre or bad in anything I do? Its fun to get better and improve. When you get in that flow and you are a master of your environment, there is no better feeling the world. If you don't experience flow you are missing out on possibly the best human experience there is.

We do not intend on improving.

I just got the first article I could find in google lol

i think i would have to disagree with you on most of your points. you come to my house, fingerpainting is definitely art, its all over the place, and mario kart is a blast, there is nothing more enjoyable in the world than watch my 8 year old nephew do his victory dance and go "in your face" or whatever his catch phrase of the week is when he beats you.

you honestly remind me of a friend of mine, he is passionate about video games. the last time he told me "you just don't understand", i wanted to smack him, but i didn't i told him "you get one free pass to call me stupid or to act like you are superior in some way to me, understood. my opinion differs than yours, doesn't make me stupid or inferior." to this day, he has never beat me at a hand of poker, a game of chess or pool...i've never treated him as inferior for it, but he has the bad habit of doing it to me when he beats me in a fps, what does that say?
