Dead 2.5 Western Digital 320GB Data Recovery

Thread Starter
I got my HP laptop with a Western Digital Hard drive dead. Its a WD Blue Sata drive 320GB. I took it out and tried connecting to my sata to usb and doesn't work. Sounds like the heads are frozen, mostly the motor the spin the spindle could be frozen, and not want to move. Anything at all I can do to try to recover this. I have tried the zip lock then freezes for 24 hours with no luck.
I just want my 5gb of pictures of it. Please don't laugh to why I didn't make no backups. And also going to a professional data recovery is $$$.

Try lightly tapping the top of the drive with your fingernail to try to get the motor loose. You can also try heating it up a bit with a blow drier to loosen up the parts.

Most likely though, you are screwed. Sorry man.

I won't give you any flack for not backing your stuff up, only because you just learned first hand why you need to keep multiple copies of important files.
