Asus 990FX + 965 BE OC assistance - Page 2

Are you using AI Suite II that comes with the board? It works pretty well with the Thermal Radar that is built into the board, and can help keep temps cool.

Also, what Cooler are you using? I am using a H50 and my temps for a while would get close to 60c until I got everything in the right place.

Yup, multi and Vcore so far.

I'm running a Musou V3. It's Japanese so I doubt if you've heard of it. Works pretty well. Just gotta adjust adjust adjust. Still trying to get the AI Suit II to install. It's being a pain in the ars.

So a bit more changes. Still not stable.

I'm at 4.0Ghz 1.464v

This time I also decided to bump the NB volt 0.8v to see if maybe that will help stabilize it.

I'm thinking of upping the Vram a click or two. Thoughts?

I also noticed a Volt increase under Prime95. Any idea what's increasing it? I got Cool N quite disabled.

Anyone know what's upping the Volts? I was at 1.488 after reboot. and now I'm at 1.5v and I can't figure out what option in the new BIOS is doing it..lol

Really starting to feel like I'm talking to myself..This will be a long damn night..

Sooooo..

I'm at 1.488v I feel like the CPU is stable here. But something else is giving out. Anyone want to give a suggestion? Cause I'm totally out of ideas. I've tried boosting the NB volts up a few notches. But crashed sooner.

probably the load-line calibration why don't you read that guide i posted earlier? the best way to OC an AMD rig (or probably any rig) is to take it step-by-step..in increments..use those OC profiles..and keep your cores below 55-58c under load..looks like you have a pretty good chip there..

I...Scimmed your guide..Was alot of detailing each item. Was more of a outline then a OC guide. However, I seem to have stabilized with 1.512v at 57-58c
