i dont think that detachable cables are good

OP: it just the idea that wireless headphones/headset are more expensive comparing them with their equivalent of normal wire headsets/headphones

in short words ; in wireless will pay more than what you will get

nonetheless they have really awful issues (compatibility , powering )and other things
that`s why wireless are not considered (good) products

the solution given by many here @ OCN is a headphones + clip-on mic
so if you changed your mind to this combo we are ready to help

No wires are breaking. That would be awesome if that were case because I could possibly fix or replace a wire. The wire get snagged on stuff and the headset goes flying...or whatever got snagged does which accounts for about five spilled sodas. This last time it landed on the base of desk chair and broke the hinge to the ear piece making them a dangling piece of junk.

I am considering just getting wireless head phones and then have a mic sitting on my desk, but only if that means I can get some better quality headphones. If not it isn't worth the hassle of having two things

Apple's laptops have a magnetic connector for their chargers. why not rig something up and just make it so if you stand up with the headphones on, they just disconnect....you come back to sit down, just snap the magnets back and your good to go.
