Thread Starter
ok i decided to purchase a used receiver for my pc setup with some booksheft. i'm thinking of going 3 channel (L,R and center). would the only way be optical or can this be acomplish with analog connection from the soundcard. Does the titanium HD do 6ch direct from its analog connection?

It doesn't support 5.1/7.1 via analog, unfortunately. The only way to get more than 2 channels (incl. 2.1) is via optical TOSLINK.

If u pass digital out then DAC duties would have to be handled by an AVR/sound processor so i would say since u already have a nice soundcard hit decent low cost stereo/power amps and feed analog out via that titanium hd and stick to 2.1 You can then splash more on far better speakers/subs hehe
