Geforce gtx 470 questions.

Well i have 1 gigabyte geforce 470 OC with stock cooling. I find it noisy and annoying. Plus i want to OC it more with better temps and more stability.

I am thinking about getting a custom cooler but i am unsure which one would provide me with the best results.

Plus if i replace the stock cooling would i be able to use a custom bios to OC the card further.

I can OC the card to 800 on the core and 2000 on the memory. But it gets very hot and doesnt always stay stable.

I use The max voltage that MSI alots me to use which is 1087. Not sure if that is a bad thing to have that much voltage.

I am also looking to the future i would like to go tri sli for BF3.

What are the chances of me maxing it out with some aa. I will turn off HBAO or SSAO because i find they cause mouse lag.

If you plan on running tri-sli and find the stock cooler annoying, then really your only option is to go for water cooling, any custom cooler is going to typically take up 3 slots, and the ones that don't, don't do very well when placed together (as they get even less air flow leading to higher temps)

You can mod your bios for higher voltage settings, though I don't recommend it unless you have water cooling.

Would 2 480s be a better option?

Surely custom coolers on the 470s would cause higher temps on a haf x case.
