This mouse is destroying my hand...

My G5 went on the blink and I bought a Mionix Naos 500. Seems that it's a palm grip whereas my old G5 was "claw" like grip. I just cannot get on with the Naos, I find it uncomfortable and un-natural for my grip and part of my hand aches constantly after gaming.

So, i'm looking at a Logitech G400 or G500. I see the difference is optical vs Laser. Thoughts?

Ive got the g500, its quite a good mouse, but I'm on my second one after the cable went on the first. Logitech support is great though, and they sent me a new one free.

Its considerably better than just an average mouse. Dpi adjustment is useful and i dont know what i would do without the side buttons, which can be reconfigured to do tasks like close windows.

There might be better mice out there for the price, but this is the only one I've used that's in that price range, and its done me well. Its the same shape as the g5, so you should like it.

Yea, I love the G5 shape. I had a Rev1 and it broke, so Logitech upgraded me to the Rev2. It's a little broke, but I use it at work now.

I use DPI in game a lot, like mid shoot out, so I want it to be very easy to hit! I think i'll go for the G500!

I don't have either the G400 nor the G500. I do currently use a G5 though. It has always been more of a palm grip for me, although my hands are not very large.

What DPI do you use?
If you are a claw grip person, have you considered the Cooler master storm spawn? Or, if you're hands are large enough, you might be able to claw grip a deathadder. Both of these mice are infrared (not laser).

EDIT: woops, was 1 minute too late. You can still cancel the amazon order; there is no way it has been processed yet.

I actually went from MX518 -> G9x -> Storm Spawn, just got my spawn a few hours ago and been tinkering around with what firmware works best for me but so far the grip fits my style/liking. I am a claw user and my right ring finger has its own rest area on the mouse feels comfortable and my whole hand can actually rest on the entire mouse where as when I was using a G9x I felt that I was finger tipping the mouse now I know it varies with hand sizes. Now the G400 does have the same size as the MX518 and I saw that mouse was more of a palm user and but I pretty much fingertip that, I mean it was good for what it was worth and it lasted me a long time but I moved on and the storm spawn is currently my fav one so far..

Ah just read the post after I guess you already purchased the mouse, hope that fits your preference.

Maybe I don't know what grip I am... I just know I like the G5, it feels naturally comfortable to me. This Naos does not feel good what so ever. I was going to go G400, but the lack of weights put me off. I like a heavy mouse.
