Sadface, 1 black pcb 1 blue. I guess its better then nothing. I thinking im just gonna return the blue pcb card and pay the fees. One 470 was worth it.

Sorry about the pic quality, iPhone camera sucks.

So the black one is a 470? I think just because its black doesnt mean for sure. Check the actual chip on the card and see. Should say GF100-275-A3 if it is a 470, and you will have 10 memory chips as well. If not and you try to flash the Bios you may hit instability.

You can check by looking at the pcb to see if the extra memory chips have been soldered, and they have been on the black one.

Yeah that too. Didnt know if you had that good of an eye though. Sometimes its hard to tell. Even still, I thought I have heard there were times when cards have 10 memory chips but not the right GPU chip. But for the most part the PNY ones seem to unlock if they do. I had an EVGA 465 that unlocked and ran flawlessly. Did 840 on the core at just 1.025v. Still being a ref card it ran very warm and loud so i sold it off and got this 560Ti. Not quite as good as the 470 but 1000 times quieter and cooler.

Edit: Maybe you can contact them and say the blue one doesnt match your set up and you bought 2 for SLI and one being blue and one being black is an eyesore in your rig. I think i have heard of others doing this and getting another Black PCB.

Well I know that they will take it back but the restocking fee is a killer, 15%. So that plus shipping almost makes it dumb to return it to them. I have had them waive the restocking fee for me once in the past but im not sure they will do it again. I dont mind paying shipping, its just the damn restocking fee on an open box item that pisses me off. I would understand if it was a new item. I might be better selling it myself but the only place I would do it is here on ocn (ill never use ebay again). Dont have enough rep though. Not sure if there are people who would want to buy a non unlockable 465 here on ocn though.

Can always give it a shot, maybe call them first. Tell them you saw the black PCB in the picture and thought it would look good and they sent you 2 different ones. I think they may hold the restocking fee. I guess you would still have to ship it though, but hey, you would be getting a 470 for the price of a 465. So you would be coming out ahead. If you got this from New Egg they would def waive the restocking fee if you call them, from PNY im not sure, never dealt with them.

Thanks that was great advice, they waived the restocking fee since they were 2 different colors! +rep

Yeah i got my rectified one a few days ago. Black PCB and 10 chips just like the one i already have =D. When i first got it i thought it was DOA and i was super bummed because it was the unlockable board. After calling in an RMA, i decided to try a blind flash rite to 470 bios without my other card installed since i was just going to send it back, and tada! it worked!. Goodluck if you decide to exchange it.
