Looks like the i7 to me.

EDIT: Didn't think about it until now but are you justing wanting it to run BF3, quality irrelevant? @1080p, and don't quote me, but that 560m is going to max at low quality. I'll look more into that. CSS can be played on pretty much any modern machine w/ igp.

EDIT2: (from below post of mine)

You're comparing a quad core to a dual core !
You're comparing 3MB cache to 6MB cache !

Of course 2630QM wins ..

Core i5-2540M 2x 2.60GHz - Does this mean the i5 has only got 2 cores? Because i sometimes see i5 with 4x2... and some times i5 with 2x2...

Or does it vary with the i5? :/

The i7 of course.

The i5 has 2 real cores and 2 virtual, the i7 has 4 real and 4 virtual cores.

Ok, this counts for all i5 and i7 cores? Because the fact of sometimes saying 4x... and 2x... confused me.

Well 2+2 and 4+4, but yeah you're also right

AFAIK all mobile i5 are 2c/4t, desktop i5 have 4c/4t versions.

To summarize it ..

Intel Core i7 2630QM : 4 Cores clocked at 2.00GHz and turbo to 2.9GHz + 8 threads ..

Intel Core i5 2540M : 2 Cores clocked at 2.6GHz and turbo to 3.3GHz + 4 threads ..

The 2630QM is much better than the 2540M of course ..
